Zambezi Getaway

A 4-night getaway on the banks of the Zambezi River in the Lower Zambezi National Park, offering prime game viewing.

For a brief getaway into the wild, five days and four nights on the banks of the Zambezi River are the ideal quick break in the Lower Zambezi National Park. A short flight from Lusaka, the area is relatively less well known compared to some of the other destinations in Zambia.

The scenery in this area is just stunning, with the blue hills of the Zambezi Escarpment on one side and views of the Mana Pools National Park on the other. Wildlife in the area includes elephants, lions, leopard and excellent bird populations.

Your nights will be spent in the Kasaka River Lodge, a large tented camp located on the banks of the Zambezi River. Each tent is set in a natural bush environment, providing an intimate and secluded hideaway. The lodge offers excellent activities, from game drives and game walks, to cultural visits to local villages.

You will wish you had longer than five days when the time comes to leave! It is easy to extend your safari to other parts of this national park, or to travel into other parts of Zambia such as the Luangwa National Park and Livingstone.
