Zambezi Weekender 3 night deal

This 3-night break for a unique wildlife experience and a feel of the Falls includes transfers, Tour of Victoria Falls plus a Chobe day-trip

If you're looking for some peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle, a 3-night break at the unpretentious and homely Imbabala Zambezi Safari Lodge is the answer. You'll get the opportunity to tour Victoria Falls and then retreat to the tranquility of this private concession on the upper Zambezi River. Also included in this special is a full day exploration of Chobe National Park in Botswana.

From Victoria Falls airport, you'll be taken on a guided tour of the Victoria Falls rainforest. The local guides have a deep knowledge of the region's history as well as of the flora, fauna, birds and wildlife.  The transfer to Imbabala takes just over an hour. The next 3 nights are spent on a full board basis.

On the second day, you'll get to enjoy the concession at a leisurely pace with high tea and a sunset cruise.  There are plenty of wildlife viewing opportunities with game sightings of lion, painted dog, giraffe and kudu. The resident game on the concession is good and large herds of elephants from the Chobe Forest Reserve regularly come to quench their thirst at the Zambezi River. Birding in the area is excellent, especially in the summer months from November to April, due to the good habitat diversity in the region.

The third day, you'll head down to Chobe National Park in Botswana, for a full day excursion including a cruise on the Chobe River followed by lunch and a game drive.  The islands and riverbanks produce good birding and "reptiling" - crocodiles are ever present.  Elephant, buffalo, giraffe and hippo are commonly seen with sable, leopard and numerous antelope regularly sighted. On your last day you'll be returned to Victoria Falls airport for onward transfers.
