Zambezi Waterfront

The independent traveller's one-stop solution to Vic Falls: cheap and cheerful campsite, tents and chalets

Whether you're a single backpacker or a family planning a self-drive camping trip, the Waterfront has a range of accommodation facilities to suit every need; from comfortable chalets with en-suite facilities to budget Adventure Village tents with shared ablutions and camping.

The Zambezi Waterfront is convenient, cost-effective and easy to arrange and offers a restaurant, a shop and an "Adventure Centre".  It's the ideal solution for the adventurous and young at heart.

The team at the "adventure centre" are happy to arrange any activity in the area on the spot.  On-site, the Waterfront offers fun booze cruises on the MV Makumbi, a 100-passenger double-decker cruise boat. A second cruiser, Jambesi is available for smaller parties up to 20 people. For any other activities, local transfers are organised at reasonable prices: the airport, Livingstone town or Victoria Falls.

For the best deals, seasonal specials are usually available in the quieter months from mid January to June. Advance bookings are essential during the festive period, over Easter and during regional school holidays. July to October is usually a busy time at the Waterfront.
