Dug-out canoes (mekoro) are usually associated with the
Okavango Delta in Botswana. These mekoro however, are used
more widely on the Zambezi and Luangwa river systems.
Mekoro trails in the Delta and at Siankaba are significantly
tamer than the canoe safaris on the lower Zambezi!
