Ilala Lodge is a small privately owned and managed hotel within brief walking distance of the Rain Forest overlooking the Zimbabwean side of Victoria Falls.

Ilala is in fact the closest accommodation to the Falls and is a short distance from the centre of the "village".

Period decor and historic memorabilia are evocative of the earlier colonial history and adventurous quests of explorers, hunters and surveyors who passed through the Victoria Falls area over a century ago.

A complete redecoration in 2002 has left Ilala feeling warm, relaxed and gracious.

Ilala Lodge offers distinguished and very comfortable accommodation with 32 rooms, 2 restaurants, a large terrace, swimming pool and pool bar overlooking mature gardens with access to all amenities that you'd expect to find in a bigger establishment. The service at Ilala is warm and efficient.

The Zambezi National Park borders on the Ilala Lodge grounds onto which rising columns of spray from the waterfall serve as a backdrop.

All rooms in the hotel are spacious and tastefully decorated leading either onto open lawns or a private balcony with excellent views onto the Zambezi National Park.

All rooms offer en suite facilities with bath and separate shower, air conditioning, overhead fans, phone, safe and satellite television.

Ilala Lodge has two restaurants serving a full a la carte English and continental menu at the Palm Restaurant and traditional food served as a stir-fry at the open air theme restaurant, Kubika - "a wok on the wildside"!

The Ilala terrace, pool area and Pool Bar are ideally suited for relaxed entertainment from dawn until late at night.

Ilala Lodge is arguably the best accommodation option available in the centre of Victoria Falls itself.
