http://www.getawayafrica.com/index.php?id=222&sectionCatId=7&countryNodeId=-1&locationId=-1

Imbabala is a private concession in the Matetsi safari area, 80km west of Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. Imbabala Safari Lodge is nestled into the riverine fringe on the banks of the Zambezi, with 14 kmof private river frontage, and offers the opportunity for some of the best game viewing and bird watching in Zimbabwe.

Bordered by Chobe, Imbabala Lodge has its own safari park and the area is renowned for its large herds of elephant, buffalo and other animals that concentrate along the banks of the Zambezi. At Imbabala the animals come to you whilst you drift along the Zambezi in a specially designed pontoon, sit quietly in a hide on the floodplain, drive leisurely around the concession or stealthily track game through the bush on foot, led by an armed professional guide.
Here bird watching is unequalled, in Zimbabwe, due to overlaps of certain species from the not too distant Okavango Delta and the variety of habitats along the river.
Gavin and Shay, your hosts, have managed Imbabala for the last eleven years and will make your stay, at their home both enjoyable and enlightening. Gavin is one the most highly respected guides in Zimbabwe and has for many years been an examiner at the Professional guide’s exams. Shay is well known for her culinary expertise and together a more competent management team you couldn’t wish to find.
